1. 720 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP <br />OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 1 -C, CITY <br />BLOCK 306, ON PROPERTY kLONGING TO L.P. MCCUISTION COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, <br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A <br />NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS'); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF <br />THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by <br />Councilman Shelton for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that no bids were received for <br />two mobile video units for the Police Department and recommended that <br />this item be rebid. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Jim <br />Bell to authorise rebidding of the two mobile video units for the <br />Police Department. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone told the Council that only one bid had been <br />received for furnishing and delivery of a cardiac monitor /defibrillator <br />with battery support system for the Emergency Medical Services <br />Department, and it was the recommendation of Kent Klinkerman, Deputy <br />Chief - EMS, to award the bid to Physio - Control Corporation in the <br />amount of $10,160.25 which is within the budgeted amount and meets <br />specifications. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilwoman <br />McDonald awarding the bid to Physio - Control Corporation in the amount <br />of $10,160.25. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that only one bid had been <br />received for furnishing and delivery of uniforms for the Paris Police <br />Department that being from R & R Uniforms, Inc. in the amount of <br />approximately $20,000.00, and it was the recommendation of Karl Louis, <br />Chief of Police to award the bid to R & R Uniforms which meets <br />specifications. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilwoman <br />McDonald to award the bid to R & P. Uniforms. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone told the Council that only one bid had been <br />received for furnishing and delivery of one new forensic optical <br />comparator for the Paris Police Department that being from Sirchie <br />Fingerprint Labs, Inc, in the amount of $1,525.71. The budget amount <br />for this item is $1,495.00, and since Sirchie meets all of the <br />specifications and is only $30.71 over the allowed amount, it was the <br />recommendation of Karl Louis to award the bid to Sirchie. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilwoman <br />McDonald awarding the bid to Sirchie Fingerprint Labs, Inc. in the <br />amount of $1,525.71. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
