721 <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and <br />delivery of five ballistic entry vests for the Paris Police Department, <br />and the following bids were presented: <br />C & G Wholesale, Garland, Texas $4,920.00 <br />The Swat Shop, Ft. Worth, Texas $4,125.00 <br />Protech Armored Products, Pittsburg, Ma. $3,790.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilwoman <br />McDonald to award the bid for five ballistic entry vests to Protect <br />Armored Products in the amount of $3,790.00. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that only one bid was received <br />for furnishing and delivery of ammunition for the Paris Police <br />Department that being from Ultramax Ammunition in the amount of <br />$5,649.00, and it was the recommendation of the Police Chief to award <br />the bid to Ultramax Ammunition. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams to award the bid for ammunition for the Police Department to <br />Ultramax Ammunition in the amount of $5,649.00. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 94 -001, requesting a planning study from the Texas <br />Department of Transportation for routing of the four lane improvement <br />to U. S. 82 East through Paris and its extraterritorial jurisdiction, <br />and directing the City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham to timely delivery a <br />copy of this Resolution to Bill Burnett, State Highway Engineer, Jay <br />Nelson, District Engineer, and Jimmy A. Hall, Area Engineer, Texas <br />Department of Transportation, was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Jim Bell for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
