722 RESOLUTION NO. 94 -001 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has become aware of the continued improvement of US 82 to four lanes from Sherman through the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris and the travelling public that a planning study be made by the Texas Department of Transportation to determine the best location for said four lane improvement to US 82 through the City of Paris and its extraterritorial jurisdiction in order that the City of Paris might do concurrent appropriate planning; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the Texas Department of Transportation be, and it is hereby requested to do a planning study of routing US 82 east from Sherman through the City of Paris and its extraterritorial jurisdiction; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk, is hereby directed to timely deliver a copy of this Resolution to Bill Burnett, State Highway Engineer, Jay Nelson, District Engineer, and Jimmy A. Hall, Area Engineer, Texas Department of Transportation. Passed and adopted the 10th day of January, 1994. S. 82 and 271 (N. E. Loop 286), and at Pine Mill Road's intersection with U. S. 82 and 271 ( N. E. Loop 286); and further resolved, that Honorable L. P. "Pete" Patterson be and is hereby requested to assist in the procurement and completion of this project, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Williams for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
