[rI RESOLUTION NO. 94 -003 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has become aware of the expected traffic congestion at the entrance of the proposed Super Wal Mart Store to be located adjacent to the North Side of on US 82 East; and, WHEREAS, it is perceived that the addition of a traffic signal at the proposed east access driveway of the Super Wal Mart store, approximately 800 feet west of the intersection of 42nd Street N.E. and US 82 East would alleviate the congestion of traffic at this location; and, WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Paris and the travelling public for the City Council to support a project to add a traffic signal at said location; and, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that they go on record as being in complete support of the placement of a traffic signal at the proposed east access driveway of the Super Wal Mart location, approximately 800 feet west of the intersection of 42nd Street N.E. and US 82 East; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk is hereby directed to timely deliver a copy of this Resolution to Jimmy A. Wastewater Discharge and Disposal, contemplated the setting of fees by Resolution when it become appropriate to set the same, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman Brown for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
