Bobby Smallwood came forward telling the Council that he went through <br />the building, and if you spend $10,000.00 on the building it is no good. <br />City Manager Malone said the City has a tremendous liability, and fire <br />hazard, and it is an emergency hazard. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />After further discussion, Councilman Jim Bell made a motion to amend <br />his motion to secure the building now, start foreclosure proceedings, <br />and you can start on the securing of the building now. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Shelton, and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for rezoning: <br />Chris Morphew, N 25' of Lot 4 and all of Lot 5, Gibbons - Braden <br />Addition from Two Family Dwelling District to One Family Dwelling No. 3 <br />and Specific Use Permit - Mobile Home (39) District; Norman <br />Montgomery, Lots 1 and 1 -A, City Block 340, from Agricultural District <br />to Commercial District & Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49). <br />Mayor Fisher referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for their study and recommendation and called for a public <br />hearing at the May 2, 1994 Planning and Zoning Commission's meeting, <br />and before the City Council May 5, 1994. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that several letters had been <br />received, and there may be more, regarding applications for liquor <br />license for private clubs, and requested that there be an agenda item <br />placed on Monday night's agenda regarding this matter. <br />Councilman Shelton wanted to know if we have an ordinance on that. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the only thing the City requires is zoning. <br />Councilman Shelton requested a copy of the ordinance, and suggested <br />that all Councilmembers be sent one. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />10 110 <br />
