A motion was made by Councilman John Bell, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams awarding the bid to Professional Computer Services, in the <br />amount of $2,895.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and deliver of One uninterruptible power supply the Paris Public <br />Library, <br />and <br />the following bids were presented: <br />Professional <br />Business Systems - Paris, Texas <br />$1,187.80 <br />The Power <br />Place <br />- Euless, Texas <br />$1,179.00 <br />StorNet, <br />Inc <br />- Grand Prairie, Texas <br />$1,150.00 <br />Professional <br />Computer Services - Paris, Texas <br />$ 988.00 <br />A motion <br />was <br />made by Councilman John Bell, seconded by Councilman Brown <br />awarding <br />the <br />bid to Professional Computer Services, <br />in the amount of <br />$988.00. <br />The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and <br />delivery of one voice transmitter with a 1 watt RF Power Output, and <br />the following bids were presented: <br />Special Services Company <br />AID, Inc. <br />$1,055.00 <br />$1,145.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman John <br />Bell awarding the bid to Special Services Company in the amount of <br />$1,055.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and delivery of one 1994 Type 1, Class I ambulance for the E. M. S. <br />Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />Total Cost Trade -In Total Bid <br />McCoy Miller $69,900.00 $3,000.00 $66,900.00 <br />Taylor Made $59,450.00 $5,000.00 $54,450.00 <br />Wheeled Coach $69,078.00 $2,000.00 $67,078.00 <br />City Manager advised that it was the recommendation of Kent Klinkerman, <br />Deputy Chief - EMS, that there was $54,000.00 budgeted for the building <br />of the ambulance, and the bid made by Taylor met all of the <br />specifications with the exception of an alternative material to be used <br />for the action area in the patient compartment, but it was acceptable, <br />and further recommended that the extra funds be appropriated and that <br />this bid be awarded to Taylor Made Ambulances. <br />After discussing this with Fire Chief, Steve Burgin, a motion was made <br />by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Jim Bell to table action <br />on the bid for the ambulance until the next meeting, and bring it back <br />at that time, and requested that the bids be checked to see if the <br />other bids met specifications. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager announced the next item on the agenda was consideration of <br />and action on authorizing the preparation of a resolution opposing the <br />
