Mr. Yates seconded the motion which carried 4 ayes, 1 <br />nay with Mr. Fendley voting nay. <br />Chairman Hayter opened the public hearing on the petition of Billy <br />M. Hill for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District <br />(2F) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 27, Block 1, <br />Hayes Addition located at 514 N.W. 7th Street. <br />Mr. Hill was present and told the Commission he wanted to build a <br />barber shop on the property in question. <br />No one else was present to speak on the matter and the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Yates, seconded by Mr. Fendley to <br />recommend approval of the petition. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Chairman Hayter declared. the public hearing open to consider a <br />change in zoning from a Neighborhood Service District (NS) to <br />proper zoning on Lot 1, City Block 306 located on the northwest <br />corner of Loop 286 N.E. and Stillhouse Rd. <br />Mr. McCollum advised that this matter was referred to the <br />Commission by the City Council. He said the McCuistion Hospital <br />property was inappropriately zoned as Neighborhood Service and <br />recommended it be changed to a Commercial District to correspond to <br />the surrounding zoning pattern. No one else was present to speak <br />on the matter and the public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Fendley, seconded by Mr. Clifford to <br />recommend Commercial District Zoning for the property.
