99 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94 -015 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP <br />OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT - HOUSING DISTRICT <br />(PD -b) ON LOTS 7 AND 8, CITY BLOCK 311, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO J. M. <br />CHISM AND GERALD BURNSED, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); AND <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT - HOUSING DISTRICT <br />(PD -b) SO ESTABLISHED <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by <br />Councilwoman McDonald for adoption of the ordinance. The motion <br />carried 4 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Shelton voting no. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman John <br />Bell to table action on an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 <br />changing the zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to <br />a Planned Development Housing District (PD -b) on Lots 24, 26, an 27, <br />City Block 312 located at 3375, 3395, and 2425 Clarksville Street. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and delivery of twelve bullet resistant vests for the Paris Police <br />Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />G. T. Distributors, Inc. <br />$4,198.80 <br />Texas State Distributors, Inc. $3,936.00 <br />City Manager Malone said it was the recommendations of Karl Louis, <br />Chief of Police, to re -bid these items as neither company met <br />specifications. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman <br />Shelton to reject all bids. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and delivery of eight portable radios for the Paris Police Department, <br />and the following bids were presented: <br />Airwaves Communications, Inc. $6,664.00 <br />Inter - County Communications, Inc. $5,899.00 <br />Teletouch Communications $5,495.00 <br />Texapage N. E., Inc. $4,979.92 <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman McDonald, seconded by Councilman <br />Shelton to award the bid to Teletouch Communications in the amount of <br />$5,495.00. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone said the next bid item was furnishing and delivery <br />of two instant recall recorders for the Paris Police Department, and it <br />was the recommendation of the Police Chief to not purchase the call <br />
