GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1. Submissions: Bids must be submitted on the form provided in the <br />bid documents and signed by an authorized representative of the <br />bidder. Bids shall reflect the bidder's turnkey price. <br />2. Bidder Qualifications: A bidder shall be able to demonstrate <br />technical ability, financial responsibility, and successful <br />experience in providing like'services in similar environments. The <br />bidder shall be an authorized representative of the surfacing <br />system provided and shall present evidence of use of trained <br />applicators. <br />3. Time Frame: The project shall be completed within 30 calendar <br />days of the award of contract, with allowance for adverse weather <br />or temperatures. The project can not be started until the 1 1/2" <br />asphalt overlay can be applied by the contractor who gets the bid <br />for the overlay project. <br />4. Brand Specifications: Products are specified herein with brand <br />names as a guide to the type of product meeting specifications. A <br />product description, including specifications, shall be attached <br />with the bid form when the use of alternate products is proposed. <br />5. Award of Bids: The City reserves the right to accept or reject <br />any or all bids. In addition to the bid price, the following <br />factors may be considered in the bid award: <br />a. Bidder's qualifications <br />b. Bidders conformance to conditions and specifications <br />c. Bidder's capacity to provide warranty and aftercare services <br />d. Product features and benefits <br />6. Warranty: The successful bidder shall warrant the surface <br />installed for one year from the date of completion against fading, <br />peeling, chalking, or bonding failure. Problems in the new surface <br />caused by cracking or slab movement shall not be covered. <br />
