MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL March 4, 1993 The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session Thursday, March 4, 1993, 6:00 P. M., City Council Chambers, City Hall, Paris, Texas. Mayor George Fisher called the meeting to order with the following Councilmembers present: Don Shelton, Jim Bell, and Billy Joe Burnett. Also present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. City Manager Malone presented the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission's meeting held March 1,1993, and attached hereto as part of these minutes as Exhibit A. Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open to consider a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2, (SF -2) to a Multi- Family Dwelling District No. 1, (MF -1) on Lot 18, Block 1, Hayes Height Addition located at 3092 E. Houston Street. Mayor Fisher called for proponents to appear, and none appeared. Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton to table the public hearing. After discussion, Councilman Burnett and Councilman Shelton withdrew their motions. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton to continue the public hearing at the March 15, 1993 City Council meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multi - Family Dwelling District No. 1, (MF -1) on Lot 18, Block 1, Hayes Height Addition located at 3092 E. Houston Street. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton to table action on this matter until the March 15, 1993 City Council meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was consideration of and action on approval of Final Plat of Lots 1A, City Block 251. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton for approval of the Final Plat of Lots 1A, City Block 251 subject to the requirements of the City Engineer. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on temporary parking for special events at the Fairgrounds, and advised the Council
