had questions regarding cattle located on the fairgrounds along with <br />parking areas on the fairgrounds at the last Council meeting, that <br />thet may be violating the dust free ordinance of the City of Paris. _ <br />Gordon Hogue, representing the Red River Valley Fair Association, <br />appeared before the Council telling them that the cattle that were -� <br />located on the Southwest corner of the fairgrounds have been removed. <br />Mr. Hogue said the Red River Valley Fair Association would like to <br />designate the entire fairgrounds as temporary parking for special <br />events, that they do have some areas designated as parking areas. Mr. <br />Hogue pointed out that the entire fairground has been used for parking <br />at various time. Mr. Hogue stated the parking areas should come under <br />the grandfather clause of the ordinance as it was amended. <br />Jerry Bailey, Route 1, Paris, Texas, representing the Young Farmers, <br />was present telling the Council that there are times during the tractor <br />pull when the southwest corner of the fairgrounds is used for parking <br />of tow vehicles. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Shelton to prepare a <br />resolution clarifying the use of the fairgrounds for parking. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Bell, and carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 93 -029, approving the sublease between the Red River <br />Valley Fair Association and the Lamar County Young Farmers for the <br />tractor pull area located on the east side of the fairgrounds, was <br />presented by City Attorney Haynes. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
