The City Manager Malone also gave the Council <br />copies of the City Council's agendas showing the language used by the <br />City, which is very similar to that used by Lamar County. <br />Councilman Shelton entered the Council chambers and assumed his seat at <br />the Council table. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that by taken one of the <br />options other than the course for litigation, should head off any <br />threatened law suit by the Paris News, as it would make it clear that <br />the City does not continue to be in violation of the Act, if the City <br />ever was, as maintain by the Paris News. <br />Resolution No. 93 -011, resolving that no executive sessions be <br />scheduled or held by the City Council until such time as a reasonable <br />agreed statement of the law governing the same can be agreed to by the <br />City Council and the Paris News, or until such time as this resolution <br />is revoked by resolution of the City Council of the City of Paris, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams for approval of the resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
