After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by Councilman Booth to award the bid for furnishing equipment and labor for installing UHF Radio Equipment to Airwaves Communications, Paris, Texas, in the amount of $55,896.00. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and delivery of one Hydraulic Rescue Tool, and the following bids were presented: Riggs First Line Equipment Company $12,216.00 Optional Electric Reel $ 1,666.00 Total Bid $13,882.00 Casco Industries Inc. $11,252.00 Optional Electric Reel $ 350.00 Total Bid $11,602.00 Amkus Rescue Systems, Inc. $ 9,422.50 Optional Electric Reel $ 850.00 Total Bid $10,272.50 City Manager Malone advised the recommendation of Steve Burgin, Fire Chief, was to accept the low bid of Amkus Rescue Systems, Inc. including the optional electric reel. A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Kent to award the bid to Amkus Rescue Systems, Inc. including the optional electric reel in the amount of $10,272.50. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 90 -025 authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford to execute a contract 'with Airwaves Communications, Inc. for the UHF Radio System and-installation, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by Councilman Kent for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
