A motion was made by Councilman Booth to award the bid to Rhone - Pollenc <br />for furnishing and delivery of Liquid Alum for the City of Paris. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Wortham and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and <br />delivery of Sodium Silicofluoride for the Water Treatment Plant, and <br />the following bids were presented: <br />LCI, <br />LTD. <br />$ <br />.2600 <br />per <br />Pound <br />DPC, <br />Inc. <br />$ <br />.2798 <br />per <br />Pound <br />Tony's <br />Chemicals <br />$ <br />.3000 <br />per <br />Pound <br />VWR, <br />Inc. <br />$ <br />.3400 <br />per <br />Pound <br />Mr. Campbell recommended the bid of LCI, LTD. be accepted, that they <br />deviated from the specifications by quoting a 14 day delivery instead <br />of three, but that is acceptable for this type chemical. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />awarding the bid for Sodium Silicofluoride to LCI, LTD. in the amount <br />of $.2600 per pound. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised that no bids were received for furnishing <br />and delivery of Anhydrous Ammonia, that it will be rebid at a later <br />date. <br />City Manager Malone called for the <br />material and labor for installation <br />following. bids were presented: <br />Smith Carpets <br />Plaza Floor Covering <br />Tisdell Furniture & Decorat <br />tabulations of bids for supplying <br />of carpet for City Hall, and the <br />$7,860.60 <br />$6,614.72 <br />ing $8,180.70 <br />City Manager Malone advised it was City Staff's recommendation to award <br />the bid to the low bidder, Plaza Floor Covering, which meets all <br />specifications-. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Davidson <br />to award the bid for supplying material and labor for installation of <br />carpet for City Hall to Plaza Floor Covering in the amount of <br />$6,614.72. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for supplying <br />materials and labor for installation of carpet for the Paris Police <br />Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />Seidle Enterprises $2,238.95 <br />Plaza Floor Covering $2,500.00 <br />Smith Carpets $2,687.00 <br />Carpet World $2,905.00 <br />City Manager Malone advised that the recommendation of Chief of Police, <br />Karl Louise, was the low bid of Seidle Enterprises in the amount of <br />$2,238.95, meeting all specifications. <br />
