City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and delivery of Liquid Chlorine for Water and Wastewater Plant, and the <br />following bids were presented: <br />Austin White Lime $ 99.80 /Ton Bagged <br />Austin White Lime $ 69.26/Ton Bulk <br />Texas Lime $101.20 /Ton Bagged <br />Texas Lime $ 71.81 /Ton Bulk <br />City Manager Malone advised that the recommendati.on of Herb Campbell, <br />Director of Utilities, was to continue to purchase lime from Texas Lime <br />even though it is not the low bid, that Mr. Campbell feels it is the <br />best bid. <br />After discussion with Mr. Campbell and City Manager Malone, a motion <br />was made by Councilman Booth to table action on the bid at this time. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Wortham, and carried 5 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for furnishing and <br />delivery of liquid chlorine for Water and Wastewater Plant, and the <br />following bids were presented: <br />DPC, Inc. <br />Arkla Chemical <br />$284.00 per Ton <br />$384.00 per Ton <br />Herb Campbell, Director of Utilities, recommended the low bid of DPC. <br />Inc. in the amount of $284.00 per ton for liquid chlorine. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kent, seconded by Councilman Booth <br />accepting the bid of DPC, Inc. in the amount of $284.00 per ton for <br />liquid chlorine. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Kent to <br />bring from the table the bids for Hydrated Lime. The motion carried 5 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Davidson <br />to award the bid of Texas Lime as the best bid for Hydrated Lime. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for Liquid Alum, <br />and the following bids were presented: <br />Rhone - Pollenc <br />Tulsa Chemical <br />General Chemical <br />DPC, Inc. <br />Coastal Chemical <br />$106.40 per Ton <br />$107.85 per Ton <br />$125.86 per Ton <br />$163.25 per Ton <br />$164.72 per Ton <br />Mr. Campbell recommended accepting the bid of Rhone - Pollenc. <br />
