'r' 4 �e'�4 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 89 -012 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING ',A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING ON THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A <br />NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO <br />THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID <br />RUBBISH, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE TORN DOWN AND <br />REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE. <br />was presented by City Attorney Haynes. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Booth, seconded by Councilman Kent for adoption of the ordinance. <br />Motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The preparation of an ordinance revising Section 20 -2 of the Code of <br />Ordinances, to reflect the increase in property occupied by the Paris <br />Public Library was authorized by a motion by Councilman Kent, seconded <br />by Councilman Wortham. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />An ordinance revising Section 21 -11 of the Code of Ordinances, <br />prohibiting entry into the Old Cemetery of Paris during certain hours <br />was authorized for preparation on a motion by Councilman Wortham, <br />seconded by Councilman Kent. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager.Malone presented bids that had been received at public bid <br />openings. <br />He advised the Council that after review by the Fire Chief of bids to <br />furnish and deliver one self- contained breathing apparatus fill system <br />station, it was recommended that all bids be rejected and the item be <br />re- advertised. A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by <br />Councilman Kent to reject the bids and re- advertise. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The bid for the furnishing and delivery of a vertical hydraulic shore <br />system was awarded to The Plank Company in the amount of $3,787.60 on a <br />motion by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Wortham. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The bid for the furnishing of one 1989, Type III, Class I, Ambulance <br />was awarded to Bridgers Coach in the amount of $46,410.00 on a motion <br />by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Fendley. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 89 -020 authorizing transfer of franchise from Cooke <br />Cablevision, Inc., to Texas Community Antennas, Inc., was presented by <br />City Attorney Haynes. A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, <br />seconded by Councilman Booth for approval of the resolution. Motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
