THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 34 -22 <br />OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN OPTIONAL INDUSTRIAL RATE FOR USERS WITH <br />FOUR INCH AND LARGER METERS WILLING TO GUARANTY MINIMUM BILLING AMOUNTS <br />FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF ONE YEAR; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1989 <br />was presented. The motion carried 7' <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager called for authorization to amend Article VII, Section <br />2 -176 of the Code of Ordinances. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised this is part of the Code of Ordinances <br />that deals with Microfilming of Public Records, that this amendment is <br />needed to bring our local ordinance into compliance with State law on <br />destruction of public records. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Davidson <br />authorizing preparation of,;,an Ordinance amending Article VII, Section <br />2 -176 of the Code of Ordinances. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by.. Councilman Fendley authorizing preparation of an <br />Ordinance.disannexating Paris Industrial Foundation's Property inside- <br />Loop 286 Si: .W-. in order to attract industrial development. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Kent and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 89 -001 authorizing and directing Mayor, Eric,S. Clifford <br />to execute on behalf of the City of Paris a. lease agreement with Maxey <br />Black Powder Rifle Club was presented. <br />City Manager Malone advised "that the Black Powder Rifle Club had <br />requested renewal of their lease early so they could go forward with <br />improvements to their facilities. <br />Mr. Ray Hempingstill representing the Black Powder Rifle Club was <br />present telling the. Council they wished to make a considerable amount <br />of improvement, that they had a good club with people coming from <br />Dallas, Longview and other cities. <br />
