MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 16, 1986 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, f <br />Wednesday, April 16, 1986 Council Chambers, City Hall, 7:00 P. M. <br />Mayor Fisher called the meeting to order with the following Councilman <br />present: Jeff Hoog, Donald 6. Wilson, Billy J. Burnett, and W. C. <br />Francis. Also present was City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, <br />T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Mayor Fisher announced that the purpose of the meeting was to.seat the <br />newly elected Council Members. Mayor Fisher said that it had been a <br />pleasure to serve the City of Paris and he congratulated the newly <br />elected Council Members. <br />Thomas E. Hunt III, Municipal Judge administered the oath of office to <br />Billy J. Burnett, Bill Bone, Addie Bufford, and Travis Wortham, and the <br />newly elected Councilmen assumed their seat at the Council table. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Hoog presented Mayor Fisher a gavel from the Council and <br />expressed his thanks for his services on the City Council. <br />City Manager Doty extended his thanks to Councilman Wilson, Councilman <br />Williams, and Mayor Fisher for the fine job and service they have <br />provided the City of Paris. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Hoog announced that the next item on the agenda was to <br />schedule Council Workshops for establishing priorities. <br />City Manager Doty advised the Council that the purpose of these <br />workshops is for the Councilmen who have not been on the Council before <br />to take a tour of City facilities and see what they will be talking <br />about for the next two years, and give the Department Heads an <br />opportunity to answer any questions the Council might have. <br />After discussion, May 3rd was agreed upon for the tour of City <br />facilities, May 6th, 7th 8th, and 17th for discussion of City <br />Operations. <br />City Manager Doty also informed the Council that the Mayor and Mayor <br />Pro Tem will be elected by the Council at the May 8th Council Meeting. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />------------------------------ <br />JEFF HOOG MAYOR PRO TEM <br />ATTEST: <br />MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY C ERK <br />
