0134- <br />Councilman Wortham entered the Council chambers and assumed his seat at <br />the Council table. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of John <br />Clay for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) to <br />a Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot 24, City Block 160 located on <br />the Northwest corner of 5th Street S. E. and Jackson Street. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar to table <br />action on this item until final action has been made by the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman Bone and <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development presented the Final <br />Plat of Lot 4 -A, City Block 102A. <br />David Tompkins, City Engineer appeared before the Council and discussed <br />the final plat with the Council. Mr. Tompkins advised the Council that <br />the property owner plans to construct a duplex on the lot, and <br />recommended approval of the plat subject to the requirements of the <br />City. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Folmar to approve the plat subject to <br />the requirements of the City Engineer. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Hoog and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. McCollum presented the final plat of Lot 16, Block 315. After <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Bone, seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham to table action on the final plat until the <br />developer submits a preliminary plat of the property as recommended by <br />the City Engineer. The motion.carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the next item was consideration of and <br />action on a Resolution abandoning a portion of a fifty foot easement on <br />the East side of property owner by David Glass on Loop 286. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that previously the City had <br />declared that we did not need but a 20 foot easement and a Resolution <br />was passed authorizing the other 30 feet be quick claimed back to the <br />previous owner, and that a Title Company in Dallas has requested that <br />we state our Resolution in a different manner and recommended that we <br />table action on this matter until a new plat has been submitted to the <br />City by the owner of the property. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham to table action on this matter until the plat has <br />been filed with the City. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
