0' 33 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS May 12, 1966 The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday May 12, 1986, 7:00 P. M. City Hall, Council Chambers. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Mike Folmar, Bill Bone, Travis Wortham, Jeff Hoog, and W. C. Francis. Also present was City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. Prayer was offered by•Rever,end Al Jordan of the First Baptist Church. Mayor Burnett asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as presented. Mayor Burnett announced that the first order of business would be receipt of a report from the Building Hazard Inspection Committee. Councilman Hoog moved that the report from the Building Hazard inspection Committee of the City of Paris be received. Councilman Folmar seconded the motion. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on property determined by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee to be a fire hazard and /or dilapidated or dangerous structure and /or a nuisance. Fire Marshal, Rick Evans appeared before the Council and introduced the following properties: 1. 1350 E. Houston, Lot 5, Block 33C. Fire Marshal Evans stated that the structure has been burned and is in need of major repairs. Gerald Williamson, Houston, Texas owner of the property appeared before the Council stating that he has no intention of destroying the building, and further stated that the roof and floors are in good shape, that there was smoke damage in the den and fire damage in the Kitchen. Mr. Williamson requested 120 days in order to repair the structure. A motion was made by Councilman Bone, seconded by Councilman Folmar to grant Mr. Williamson 120 days in order for repairs to be completed. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. 2. 137 W. Sherman, Lot 22, Block 137. Fire Marshal Evans stated that the house is in need of major repair to windows, foundation, flooring and interior. Edwin Landers, 1321 E. Price appeared before the Council and told them that he used the building as a storage building and requested to continue doing so.
