0' 33 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />May 12, 1966 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday <br />May 12, 1986, 7:00 P. M. City Hall, Council Chambers. Mayor Burnett <br />called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: <br />Mike Folmar, Bill Bone, Travis Wortham, Jeff Hoog, and W. C. Francis. <br />Also present was City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. <br />Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Prayer was offered by•Rever,end Al Jordan of the First Baptist Church. <br />Mayor Burnett asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the first order of business would be <br />receipt of a report from the Building Hazard Inspection Committee. <br />Councilman Hoog moved that the report from the Building Hazard <br />inspection Committee of the City of Paris be received. Councilman <br />Folmar seconded the motion. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on property determined <br />by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee to be a fire hazard and /or <br />dilapidated or dangerous structure and /or a nuisance. <br />Fire Marshal, Rick Evans appeared before the Council and introduced the <br />following properties: <br />1. 1350 E. Houston, Lot 5, Block 33C. <br />Fire Marshal Evans stated that the structure has been burned and is in <br />need of major repairs. <br />Gerald Williamson, Houston, Texas owner of the property appeared before <br />the Council stating that he has no intention of destroying the <br />building, and further stated that the roof and floors are in good <br />shape, that there was smoke damage in the den and fire damage in the <br />Kitchen. Mr. Williamson requested 120 days in order to repair the <br />structure. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bone, seconded by Councilman Folmar to <br />grant Mr. Williamson 120 days in order for repairs to be completed. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />2. 137 W. Sherman, Lot 22, Block 137. <br />Fire Marshal Evans stated that the house is in need of major repair to <br />windows, foundation, flooring and interior. <br />Edwin Landers, 1321 E. Price appeared before the Council and told them <br />that he used the building as a storage building and requested to <br />continue doing so. Mr. Landers also stated that the nouse next to his <br />was in worse condition than his. <br />I� <br />J <br />
