0144 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86 -039 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is aware <br />of community needs for which local funds have not been and <br />will not be available to accomplish. Such needs are in the <br />area of utility upgrading, street paving, and housing <br />rehabilitation; and, <br />WHEREAS, funding for such programs are available <br />through the Texas Department of Community Affairs under the <br />Texas Community Development Program; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the Director of Community Development, Joe <br />McCollum, be, and he is authorized to develop plans for a <br />grant application including recommending dates for necessary <br />public hearings for presentation to the City Council at its <br />regular meeting in June in order that the City Council can <br />determine whether such grant application should be made. <br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of May, 1986. <br />/64 <br />Bi jV - Burnett, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mattie Cunningham, Cit er <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />T. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Hoog, seconded by Councilman Bone for adoption of the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
