The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett appointed Councilman Francis as Chairman, Councilman <br />Bufford, and Co.unc.ilman Bone as members of the Utilities Committee. <br />Mayor Burnett appointed Councilman Folmar as Chairman, Councilman <br />Wortham, and Mayor Burnett as members of the Street Committee. <br />Mayor Burnett appointed Councilman Bone as Chairman, Councilman Hoog, <br />and Councilman Francis to the Investigative. Committee. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that he did not have a report <br />at this time on the request from the Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water <br />Corporation. <br />Mr. Bobby Harrell representing the Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water <br />Corporation appeared 'before the Council and stated that he has not been <br />contacted by anyone from the City regarding the request other than a <br />letter from City Manager Doty. <br />City Manager Doty presented a report from the City's Engineering Staff <br />on the possibility of supplying water from the City distribution system <br />to the Marvin Jennings Clardy Water Corporation. City Manager Doty <br />stated that it would be necessary for a backflow preventor, a master <br />meter, a gate valve, and vault be installed at the point of connection <br />between the two systems in. order to supply the water. <br />Billy G. Coe, Route 1, Marvin, Texas appeared before the Council <br />requesting consideration from the City of Paris for water service for <br />the Marvin Jennings Clardy Water Corporation. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by <br />Councilman Bone to modify the City's contract with the Lamar County <br />Water Supply District in order for the City to furnish water to the <br />Marvin Jennings Clardy Corporation. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Doty presented a request from the Lamar County Health <br />Department for supplementary funding in the amount of $1,490.55, 894.33 <br />from the City and $596.22 from Lamar County. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Bone authorizing the funding <br />for the Lamar County Health Department. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Resolution No. 86 -039 authorizing Joe McCollum, Director of Community <br />Development to develop plans for a grant application including <br />recommending dates for public hearings for presentation to the City <br />Council at the regular meeting in June in order that the City Council <br />can determine whether such grant application should be made. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Bone to approve <br />the Resoiution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />0143 <br />
