o �.5 <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petition for zoning <br />amendments: Larry Berry, Lot 9, Block 5, Colonial Addition, from SF -3 <br />District to Neighborhood Service District; Nathan Bell, Lot 16, City <br />B1ocK 201, Site Plan Approval in a Planned Development District; Clyde <br />Beacham, Lot 8, Block 74 -0, from Commercial District to SF -3 and <br />Specific Use Permit - Mobile Home (39) District; Marie Cotham, Lot 4, <br />City Block 158 -A from MF -1 District to Commercial District; Jerry L. <br />Haning, Lot 9, City Block. 70 -C from Two Family District to Neighborhood <br />Service District. <br />Mayor Burnett referred th.e petitions to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for their study and recommendations and called for a public <br />hearing at the next regular Council meeting. <br />City Attorney Haynes reported -on the progress with Paul Landers on the <br />34th N. E. drainage proJect and John Buss and Dave Tompkins of the <br />Engineering Staff discussed a new proposal by Mr. Landers and his <br />Engineer. The new proposal would increase the project cost by more <br />than 10% and could not be added to the present bid. <br />Councilman Francis moved to go with the original plan for the three (3) <br />drop inlets and let the storm water go into a ditch on the west side of <br />34th Street. Councilman Wortham seconded the Motion. <br />City Manager Doty suggested that no action be taken at this time, but <br />give the City Engineer till Monday to evaluate the proposal of <br />Councilman Francis and also give time to see if Mr. Landers will sign <br />an easement to do the original project. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman Bone to <br />table until Monday.
