0173 <br />City Attorney Haynes presented a Resolution amending the water purchase <br />contract with Paris and Lamar County Water Supply District for <br />furnishing water service to the Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water <br />Corporation. <br />Robert Harrell, representing the Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water <br />Corporation appeared before the Council and discussed the contract. <br />City Manager Doty told the Council and Mr. Harrell that the Paris Lamar <br />County Water Supply District would not agree to amending their contract _ <br />with the City of Paris for.the City to furnish the Marvin, Jennings, <br />Clardy Water Corporation water, but they did agree to furnish the <br />Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water Corporation service. <br />Mr. Harrell advised the Council that Marvin, Jennings, Clardy Water <br />Corporation needed a back up water system and wanted the back up system <br />direct from the City of Paris. Mr. Harrell stated that the Marvin, <br />Jennings, Clardy Water Corporation would continue to operate their <br />water system and that he would take the matter back to the Marvin, <br />Jennings, Clardy Water Corporation's Board. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by <br />Councilman Bone to table action on the Resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. ' <br />Mayor Burnett called for consideration and action on construction <br />violation of City Ordinance by the Paris Independent School District at <br />the Paris High School Site. <br />Councilman Bone read a letter from the City of Paris to the Paris <br />Independent School District regarding water service to the Paris High <br />School. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Bone to table action <br />on this item and place the item on the agenda of the special meeting <br />June lb, 1986, 7:00 P. M. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulations of bids for Agricultural Lease <br />at Cox Field and the following bids were presented: <br />DICK CHARLIE <br />JOHNSTON HICKMAN <br />Bid for the primary two year <br />period of lease beginning <br />7/1/86 $3,600.00 $3,451.00 <br />Total Bid for 2 year period $7,200.00 $6,902.00 <br />Bid for the three year option <br />period of the lease beginning <br />7/1/88 <br />Annual Payment of $3,500.00 $3,651.00 <br />
