017-) <br />Total Bid for three year <br />period 10,500.00 10,953.00 <br />Grand Total Five fears 17,700.00 17,855.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Folmar to accept the bid of Charlie <br />Hickman in the amount of $17;A55.00 for a 5 year lease. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Francis and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays, Councilman <br />Bone and Councilman Wortham out of the Council Chambers. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the bid tabulations for a Computer Aided <br />Dispatch System. <br />City Manager Doty advised the Council that only one bid was received <br />that being from Municipal Software Consultants, Inc. in the amount of <br />$20,695.00, and the Chief of. Police, Charles Whitley recommended the <br />purchase of the Information System only at a cost of $7,945.00. After <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by <br />Councilman Hoog to accept the recommendation of Chief Whitley to <br />purchase the Information System only from the Municipal Software <br />Consultants Inc. in the amount of $7,945.00. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager presented a request from the Director of Public Works to <br />purchase two used Dump Trucks from the State Highway Department at a <br />cost of $5,750.00 each. <br />Dan Brotton, Director of Public Works, appeared before the Council <br />and discussed the purchase of the trucks. Mr. Brotton told the Council <br />there were funds available in the gasoline .account due to the drop in <br />gasoline prices to pay for the trucks, and recommended the purchase. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by <br />Councilman Hoog authorizing the purchase of the two Dump Trucks from <br />the State Department of Highway in the amount of s5,750.00 each. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 86 -048 amending the contract with Heritage Constructor's <br />Inc. for construction of Additions to Water Treatment Plant by Changer <br />Order No. 3 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bone to <br />hold up construction of the upstairs offices and laboratory until the <br />expenditures could be looked into. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham. <br />�v <br />
