It was the consensus of the Council to place this item on next month's <br />agenda as an action item and requested the Police and Public Works logs <br />be inspected to see if this incident had been report to the Police <br />Department. <br />Mr. Lloyd Sterling, 2025 Sterling, appeared before the Council <br />representing.Young Price, 524 10th S. E. Mr. Sterling told the Council <br />Mr. Price had contracted with a contractor to install a driveway at his <br />residence, after the driveway was completed, he was unable to get his <br />car in the driveway because of dirt left in the driveway. Mr. Sterling <br />stated that he had contacted the City and was unable to get any type of <br />cooperation. <br />After discussion it was the opinion of the Council that Mr. Sterling <br />should go back to the contractor and request that he correct the <br />situation. <br />Mayor Fisher announced that the Council would sit as a Board of Appeals <br />to conduct a public hearing and take action on an appeal by Ronald E. <br />Abbott from a decision of the Building Official concerning Fire Code <br />Restrictions related to the Old Liberty National Bank Building. <br />Ronald Abbott appeared before the Council and proposed that a steel <br />stairway be installed in the atrium area as recommended by the City <br />Staff, if the building As used for permanent residences. If the <br />Building is not used for permanent residences then he would be able to <br />use a steel ladder in the atrium in place of a steel stairway. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by <br />Councilman Folmar to accept Mr. Abbott's proposal. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher called for tabulations of bids on additions to the Water <br />Treatment Plant and the following bids were presented: <br />Heritage Constructors,Inc. $2,915,000.00 <br />Bryan Construction Co. $3,057,800.00 <br />Shawnee Construction Co. $3,200,000.00 <br />CBI Na -Con, Inc. $3,276,400.00 <br />Holt 8 Sons Construction Co. $3,666,765.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams to accept the low bid of Heritage Contractors, Inc. in the <br />Amount of $2,915,000.00 for additions to the Water Treatment Plant. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Francis voting no. <br />Mayor Fisher called for tabulations of bids for construction of 2.0 <br />Million Gallon Steel Clearwell and cleaning and painting the existing <br />bacKwash tank, and the following bids were present: <br />Repaint <br />2,000,000 Gal Steel 100,000 Gal Steel <br />Ground Storage Clearwell Elevated Backwash TK <br />
