• <br />02Z <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86 -064 <br />WHEREAS, there . exists a vacancy on the membership of <br />the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of <br />Commerce of Lamar County, due to the ineligibility of Walter <br />F. Williams, and it is necessary to appoint his successor, <br />and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, <br />having appointed Jeff Hoog to serve the unexpired term of <br />Walter F. Williams, which ends December 31, 1987, and has <br />submitted the name of such person to the City Council of the <br />City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: That the appointment of Jeff Hoog, as a member of <br />the Visitors and Convention,. Council of the Chamber of <br />Commerce of Lamar County, to serve the unexpired term of <br />Walter F. Williams, which ends December 31, 1987, is by the <br />City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and <br />confirmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of June, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mattie Cunningham, City- er <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />H ne City Attorney <br />i <br />Burnett, Mayor <br />A motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />to grant the request of Lamar County Water Supply District to run line <br />extensions and set water meters for Reverend R. L. Briggs, Highway 82 <br />West and FM 1510 and Oddfellow Lake Road. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Mayor Burnett tailed for consideration and action on the 34th N. E. <br />Drainage. <br />David Tompkins, City Engineer appeared before the Council and reported <br />that there was problems with Brandon Chaney`s proposal who is the <br />Engineer for Mr. Paul Landers. Mr. Tompkins stated that Mr. Landers <br />wanted to tie into the drainage system at a future time, he wanted the <br />City to extend the storm drainage within 50 feet of his west property <br />line, and for the City to be responsible for future requirements for <br />the storm drainage system, and a minimum he wanted a concrete gutter <br />when the property is developed.
