Long, appeared before the Council requesting <br />that the zoning be left as is. <br />Mrs. T. G. Richardson, 1103 S. Main, also appeared before the <br />Council in opposition. <br />E. L. Simmons, 1020 S. Main, Mrs. George Smith, 1023 S. Main, also <br />appeared in opposition to the Commercial zoning. <br />Mrs. Jim Norvill, 44 E. Long, appeared before the Council and stated <br />that her property joined the back of Ms. Cotham's lot, and she <br />objected to the Commercial zoning, and requested a privacy fence be <br />placed at the back of her lot if the zoning was approved. <br />Mr. and Mrs. James Smith, 39 E. Long Street appeared before the <br />Council and told the Council that Ms. Cotham had owned the property <br />five years and has just now started to improve the property, and <br />they were against the Commercial Zoning. <br />Carry Craig also appeared in opposition to the zoning change. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing closed and call for a <br />vote. A motion was made by Councilman Folmar to accept the <br />recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the <br />zoning change. The motion was seconded by Councilman Hoog and <br />carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Nathan Bell for approval of Site Plan in a Planned Development - <br />Shopping Center District (PD -a) on Lot 16, City Block 201 located at <br />1934 Bonham Street. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Garry Nash, owner <br />of the property appeared before the Council and stated that his site <br />plan calls for the construction of a Fletchers Corney Dog Restaurant <br />on the east side of the lot, that it would be a drive through <br />facility with parking in the rear. Mr. Nash advised that a security <br />fence and screening fence would be installed on three sides of the <br />lot. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, there being no one in <br />opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />for approval of the Site Plan subject to the requirements of the <br />City Engineer. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Larry Berry for a change in zoning from a One- Family Dwelling <br />District No. 3 (SF -3) to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot <br />9, Block 5, Colonial Addition located at 1760 W. Shiloh Street. <br />
