'1 <br />was presented. <br />Councilman Folmar, Chairman of the Sign Committee gave a report from <br />that Committee stating that after studying the Ordinance this <br />Ordinance was the result of their study, and suggested that the <br />Committee be kept enforce. After discussion, motion was made by <br />Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Bone for adoption of the <br />Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, o nays. <br />A Resolution authorizing the amendment to a contract with The Lamar <br />County Water Supply District to serve the MJC Water Corporation with <br />bulk was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Francis, <br />seconded by Councilman Folmar to reject the Resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Robert Harrell, Route 3, Paris, Texas, appeared before the Council <br />and asked the City of Paris to form a letter to the effect that the <br />City of Paris is agreeable to sell water to MJC Water Corporation and <br />that would like to secure a letter from the Lamar County Water Supply <br />District to the fact that they will not amend their contract with the <br />City of Paris allowing the City to sell water to MJC Water <br />Corporation. This would in able MJC Waster Corporation to take legal <br />action. <br />The Council instructed the City Attorney to draft a letter to the <br />effect that the City is willing to sell water to MJC Water <br />Corporation if the Lamar County Water Supply District would agree to <br />the amendment of their contract with the City of Paris. <br />Don McLaughlin, Attorney, representing the Lamar County Water Supply <br />District advising that they can not negotiate on this item as for as <br />the contract with the City, and pointed out there would be possible <br />litigation. Mr. McLaughlin stated that the MJC Water Corporation <br />would be treated the same as any other customer of the Lamar County <br />Water Supply District. <br />Bill Flanary, Attorney, representing the Pattonville Water Supply <br />Corporation, appeared before the Council to let the Council know that <br />the Pattonville Water Supply Corporation was in the same situation as <br />the MJC Water Corporation. Mr. Flanary stated that the Pattonville <br />Water Supply District has a proposal to purchase water from the MJC <br />Water Corporation if the City would sell water to them. The other <br />proposal for the Pattonville Water Supply Corporation was to contract <br />with the Lamar County Water Supply District. <br />Robert Harrell spoke again stating that the MJC Water Corporation and <br />the Pattonville Water Supply District used each other as a backup <br />system, and as far as selling water to Pattonville, MJC Water <br />Corporation was not going to make a profit on selling water to the <br />Pattonville Water Supply Corporation. <br />City Manager Doty presented a proposal for a six inch water main <br />extension outside the City Limits located along Old Lake Crook Road, <br />24. <br />
