248 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86 -066 <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of <br />the Building Commission of the City of Paris since Tom Pine <br />no longer holds the position which qualified him to serve on <br />said Building Commission, and it is necessary to appoint his <br />successor, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe <br />Burnett, having appointed David Tompkins to serve until his <br />successor is appointed and has submitted the name of such <br />person to the City Council of the City of Paris, NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: That the appointment of David Tompkins as a member <br />of the Building Commission of the City of Paris, to serve <br />until his successor is appointed, is by the City Council of <br />the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of July, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />mom <br />APPROVED AS -TO FORM: <br />T. Haynes, 'City Attorney <br />�? -1/__ <br />Billroe Burnett, Mayor <br />Resolution No. 86 -067 authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris Amendment No. 3 to said <br />Contract No. 00023904585 between the City of Paris and the Texas <br />Department of Community Affairs was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Bone, seconded by Councilman Francis for approval of the <br />Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
