275 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 86 -025 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY ADDING SECTIONS 6 -27 <br />AND 6 -28 TO CHAPTER 6 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING REQUIREMENTS FOR <br />AIRPORT TENANT SELF.SERVICE FUELING; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO <br />EXCEED $200.00; EXCEPT THAT A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00 IS <br />IMPOSED FOR FIRE SAFETY OR ZONING VIOLATIONS; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 1, 1986 <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bone seconded by <br />Councilman Folmar for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Bone seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham not to participate in the intervention. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that action was needed on a claim filed by <br />Mrs. Betty Houston for damage resulting from a sewer stop at 1160 <br />Fairfax. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that at this time the City <br />has made a clean out on the persons private sewer line, repaired the <br />main line, installed a new tap and a clean out of the main line was <br />made and since May 5th there has not been any additional problems. <br />Mr. Haynes advised that our Insurance Company has rejected payment of <br />this claim. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded <br />by Councilman Wortham to authorize the City Attorney to settle this <br />claim. M., Council Room, City Hall, Mayor Billy J. <br />Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen <br />present: Bill Bone, Jeff Hoog, Mike Folmar, W. C. Francis, Travis <br />Wortham and Addie Bufford. Also present were City Manager, David H. <br />Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Resolution No. 86 -073 authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Paris the lease contract with Loyd Barrow and <br />Wife, Sybil Barrow for a sludge application site was presented. <br />
