MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />February 10, 1986 <br />The City <br />February <br />with the <br />Burnett, <br />David H. <br />Cunningh <br />Council of the City <br />10, 1986, 7:00 P. M. <br />following Councilman <br />Jeff Hoog, and W. C. <br />Doty, City Attorney, <br />am. <br />of Paris met in regular session, Monday, <br />Mayor Fisher called the meeting to order <br />present: Walter F. Williams, Billy Joe <br />Francis. Also present were City Manager, <br />T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie <br />Prayer was offered by Councilman Walter, F. Williams. <br />Mayor Fisher asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />Ms. Marilyn Woods, Project Director of Paris Project Self- sufficiency <br />appeared before the Council requesting office equipment and supplies in <br />order to get the program into operation. <br />Mayor Fisher advised that consideration and action on this matter would <br />be later in the meeting. <br />Vergil McFadden, 801 W. Washington, appeared before the Council and <br />discussed storm water and wastewater problems in the 600 block of E. <br />Polk Street, and a claim pending for a retaining wall constructed by <br />Mr. McFadden at that location. <br />Mayor Fisher advised the Council that no action was necessary at this <br />time, but there was an action item on the agenda later in the meeting. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community-Development, presented the minutes <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission's meeting held on February 3, <br />1986 and attached hereto as part of these minutes as exhibit A. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development presented the replat of <br />Lot 23, Block 3, Mayor Addition and informed the Council that Mr. <br />Thomas Reeves, owner of the property, was requesting approval of the <br />replat in order to separate the two houses located on the property. <br />Mr. Thomas Reeves appeared before the Council presenting pictures and <br />explained the need for the replat of his property was in the event he <br />was no longer available to take care of both places, that one house <br />could be sold. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by <br />Councilman Burnett-approving the replat subject to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission granting a variance to the lot area and width <br />requirements.
