r <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />1 <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />MARCH 4, 1985 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris met in regular session <br />Monday, March 4, 1985 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas <br />with the following members present: <br />1. Freddy Swaim - Chairman 4. Bruce McMonigle <br />2. Bill Davidson 5. Ronnie Nutt <br />3. Jacob Hildreth 6. Kyle Perry <br />Chairman Swaim called the meeting to order and the minutes of February 7, <br />1985 were approved as submitted. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of Mrs. J.D. <br />Ashley for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 1, Block 1, Stellrose <br />Addition located at 2247 Clarksville Street. <br />Mrs. Ashley told the Commission that this had been her home for 25 years but <br />the area was changing. She pointed out the existing•retail and office uses <br />around her home and stated her lot and one other were the only ones not zoned <br />General Retail between.22nd S.E. and 24th S.E. on the north side of Clarksville <br />St. She said there were no plans for the property but felt it too should be <br />zoned General Retail. <br />There was no one else present to speak.on the matter and the public hearing <br />was closed. <br />Following discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Perry, seconded by Mr. Hildreth <br />to recommend approval of the zoning change. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of Ray <br />Spencer for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) to <br />a Commercial District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49) on <br />Lot 6, City Block 45 located on the southeast corner of Graham Street and <br />7th N.W. <br />Mr. Spencer was present and advised the Commi Ission of his plans for a <br />convenience store on the property. It was pointed out that the lot is opposite <br />the Industrial Self Storage mini warehouses. <br />There was no one else present to speak for or against the zoning change and <br />the public hearing was closed. <br />Discussion followed and Mr. Nutt made a motion to recommend approval of the <br />change.,Mr. Hildreth seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
