i <br />v <br />J Mr. McCollum informed the Council that the Planning and Zoning Commission had <br />recommended the zoning change. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and Mr. Don McLaughlin, Attorney, <br />appeared before the Council stating that the petitioner planned to develop the <br />property in the future. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear. None appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hoog,seconded by Councilman Bell approving <br />the zoning change and authorizing an Ordinance to be presentee at the next <br />regular Council meeting. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Wilson re- entered the Council Room and assumed his seat at the Council <br />table. <br />Mr. Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development presented a replat of part of <br />Lot 7, City Block 329. Mr. McCollum also advised the Council that the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission had recommended approval of the replat. <br />Mr. T. S. Smith appeared before the Council objecting to the Curb and gutter <br />requirements. <br />Councilman Burnett made a motion to approve the replat not requiring the curb <br />and gutter. The motion failed for lack of a second. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that they would not be able to rule <br />on this matter because of State law. <br />Mayor Graham advised Mr. Smith that he would have to refile the replat in the <br />proper manner. <br />Mr. John Buss, Director of Engineering presented Plans and Specifications for <br />the rehabilitation of the Master Sewer Lift Station, and discussed the project <br />with the Council. Councilman Williams made a motion, seconded by Councilman <br />Burnett approving the plans and specifications. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for rezoning: Monte <br />M. Moore, Lot 1 and the west 15' of Lot 2, Block 1, Anita Park Addition from <br />MF -1 District to General Retail District; Gertrude Warren, part of Lot 7 and 8, <br />Block A, P. J. Willis & Bros.
