�. <br />gq <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />` March 28, 1985 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Thursday, March 28, <br />1985 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following <br />Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Walter F. Williams, Jeff Hoog, and Billy <br />J. Burnett. Also present were City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. <br />Haynes, and Asst. City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the special meeting was called for the purpose of <br />consideration of and action on bids received at a public bid opening held on <br />March 26, 1985. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for installation of the electrical <br />service and distribution, lighting fixtures, and electrical power connections to <br />mechanical and other equipment for the City Hall Annex Project, and the following <br />bids were presented: <br />Green's Electric Company <br />Sampson Electric <br />A -1 Electric <br />$17,776.00 <br />$18,619.00 <br />$24,937.60 <br />Councilman Burnett moved that the bids received at a public bid opening on March <br />26, 1985 be spread on the record and that inasmuch as Green's Electric Company <br />had submitted the lowest and best bid for providing the City with Electrical <br />Service and Distribution, Lighting Fixtures, and Electrical Power Connections <br />to mechanical and other equipment for a contract be awarded Green's Electric <br />Company for supplying.such items meeting City Specifications. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Williams and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for complete installation of all <br />heating, vetilating, and air conditioning systems for the City Hall Annex Project, <br />and the following bids were presented: <br />Paris Air Conditioning $19,687.00 <br />Stone Heating and Air Conditioning $24:,960.00 <br />Councilman Williams moved that the bids received at a public bid opening on March <br />26, 1985 be spread on the record and that inasmuch as Paris Air Conditioning had <br />submitted the lowest and best bid for providing the City with installation of all <br />heating, ventilating, air conditioning system for a contract to be awarded Paris <br />Air Conditioning for supplying such items meeting City specifications. The motion <br />carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Doty presented a draft of an Ordinance on design requirements for curb <br />and gutter, street subgrade and street pavement for the Council to review. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the Council would go into executive session, and the <br />regular session was declared closed, and the executive session open. <br />Legal matters were discussed with the City Attorney. <br />Mayor Graham declared the executive session closed, and the regular session open. <br />
