�. gq MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL ` March 28, 1985 The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Thursday, March 28, 1985 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Walter F. Williams, Jeff Hoog, and Billy J. Burnett. Also present were City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and Asst. City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. Mayor Graham announced that the special meeting was called for the purpose of consideration of and action on bids received at a public bid opening held on March 26, 1985. Mayor Graham called for the tabulation of bids for installation of the electrical service and distribution, lighting fixtures, and electrical power connections to mechanical and other equipment for the City Hall Annex Project, and the following bids were presented: Green's Electric Company Sampson Electric A -1 Electric $17,776.00 $18,619.00 $24,937.60 Councilman Burnett moved that the bids received at a public bid opening on March 26, 1985 be spread on the record and that inasmuch as Green's Electric Company had submitted the lowest and best bid for providing the City with Electrical Service and Distribution, Lighting Fixtures, and Electrical Power Connections to mechanical and other equipment for a contract be awarded Green's Electric Company for supplying.such items meeting City Specifications. The motion was seconded by Councilman Williams and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for complete installation of all heating, vetilating, and air conditioning systems for the City Hall Annex Project, and the following bids were presented: Paris Air Conditioning $19,687.00 Stone Heating and Air Conditioning $24:,960.00 Councilman Williams moved that the bids received at a public bid opening on March 26, 1985 be spread on the record and that inasmuch as Paris Air Conditioning had submitted the lowest and best bid for providing the City with installation of all heating, ventilating, air conditioning system for a contract to be awarded Paris Air Conditioning for supplying such items meeting City specifications. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Doty presented a draft of an Ordinance on design requirements for curb and gutter, street subgrade and street pavement for the Council to review. Mayor Graham announced that the Council would go into executive session, and the regular session was declared closed, and the executive session open. Legal matters were discussed with the City Attorney. Mayor Graham declared the executive session closed, and the regular session open.
