RESOLUTION NO. � WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has undertaken a project of construction entitled Phase I, Big Sandy Creek Drainage Project, which begins on said Creek approximately 2,000 feet East of Loop 286 on property belonging to Joe P. Cobb and Tom Cobb, Jr, thence with the meanders of said creek in a Northwesterly direction and then in a Westerly direction to the intersection of 24th Street S. E. with two sub - channels going in a Northerly direction from Big Sandy Creek to the intersection of Texas and Pacific Railroad right -of -way, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by LAN and Associates Engineering which project is being directed by Richard Babb, P.E., Acting City Engineer as an in -house project; and, WHEREAS, the easement descriptions necessary for the completion of said drainage project were heretofore included in Exhibit A to Resolution No. 2188, passed on the 12th day of July, 1982; and, WHEREAS, Parcel #5 of said Exhibit A to Resolution No. 2188 has been corrected and the corrected form is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said Parcel #5 is necessary for said drainage project and that the same should be condemned; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to condemn the above described Parcel #5 to be used for Phase I, Big Sandy Creek Drainage Project.
