1 a <br />Mayor requested the Council's consideration of a previously authorized <br />Ordinance for a No Parking Zone of the east side of 2nd Street S. E. <br />between Clarksville and Lamar Ave. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2-65 -1 '- 85 -O)�j <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE <br />TRAFFIC NO- PARKING MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (c) OF SECTION 29 -112 <br />OF SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AREA; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY <br />NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, <br />1983. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by <br />Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Chuck Devers appeared before the Council in behalf of A. G.Edwards <br />& Sons Inc. requesting his firm consideration as a Fiscal Agent and <br />Financial Advisor for future bond issues. City Manager Doty recommended <br />that the Council receive proposals from any and all firms interested <br />in performing Financial Advisor and Fiscal Agent for the City. <br />Bill Flannary appeared in behalf of Mr. Wayne Stinson to discuss a <br />drainage requirement of the preliminary plat of Morningside Addition <br />Part 12. After hearing the problems, City Manager Doty recommended <br />that Mr. Stinson and his Engineer and the City Engineer meet with the <br />City Staff and the Council Drainage Committee and discuss the matter <br />at a future date. <br />On the request for authorization for bids for fuel storage tanks for <br />the service area, City Manager Doty advised that in his opinion the <br />item had been budgeted and approved by the City Council previously <br />and this and future budgeted items need not be requested by the City <br />Council to be advertised for bids. <br />Mr. Weldon Slaton, President of the Lions Club appeared before the <br />Council requesting authorization to place a Monument at Bywaters Park <br />commemorating April 2, Tornado victims. After discussion, a motion <br />was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman McWaters approving <br />the request.
