Mayor Graham called for a report from the Committee appointed to study <br />the req,,es+ of the Lamar County Water Supply Corporation for a 6 inch <br />water line crossing city property at the Cox Field. Councilman Wilson <br />made a recommendation that the following conditions to be presented to <br />'he Lamar County Water Supply Corporation: That a 6 inch water tap <br />e provided for the City of Paris at no cost; That no additional <br />uston ►ers be granted service on the proposed line without City approval <br />ut the line west of Cox Field; That in the event the City of Paris <br />annexes property in the vicinity of the line that all lines west of <br />Cox Field Road and Highway 271 will be given without cost to the City. <br />The City Attorney was authorized to prepare the necessary agreement. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the City would go into executive session <br />and the regular session was declared closed, and the executive session <br />open. <br />Disucssion was had with the City Attorney on legal matters. <br />The executive session was declared closed and the regular session open. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjurned. <br />JOE GRAHAM, MAYOR, CITY OF PARIS <br />ATTEST: <br />H. GREENE , CITY CLERK <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />March 21, 1983 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Monday, <br />'larch 21, 1983, 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Donald G Wilson, <br />Gene McWaters, and George Fisher, Jr., Also present were City Manager, <br />David Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and H. C. Greene, City Clerk. <br />City Manager Doty requested authorization to purchase a non - budgeted <br />replacement box for a Dump Truck assigned to the Public Works Division. <br />Mr. Doty explained that the purchase was an emergency item and that <br />the lowest quotation was in the amount of $1,800.00. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Wilson to approve <br />the request of the City Manager. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. �� 24 authorizing the Mayor to execute on behalf of <br />the City of Paris a contract with Richard Drake DBA Richard Drake <br />Construction Company for the Fitzhugh Ave. Drainage Project in the <br />ai,►ount of $16,998.84 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Wilson, seconded by Councilman McWaters for adoption of the Resolution. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
