RESOLUTION NO. 83 -020
<br />WHEREAS, on the first day of January, 1959, Harold C.
<br />Greene was appointed Assistant Director of Finance for the
<br />City of Paris; and,
<br />WHEREAS, his considerable ability, consistent achieve -
<br />ment, and excellent job performance caused and allowed his
<br />promotion to the positions of Finance Director, City Clerk,
<br />and Assistant City Manager; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on three separate and prolonged occasions,
<br />Harold C. Greene has acceded to requests made by Councils of
<br />the City of Paris to serve as Acting City Manager in
<br />addition to his other responsibilities; and,
<br />WHEREAS, in all these activities he has well, truly and
<br />ably fulfilled his responsibilities; and,
<br />W11EREAS, such service to the Citizens, City Councils,
<br />end Employees of the City of Paris is unsurpassed; NOW,
<br />THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED AND PROCLAIMED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
<br />THE CITY OF PARIS, that Harold C. Greene, be, and he is
<br />hereby commended and thanked for his dedication to the City
<br />of Paris; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Harold C. Greene is hereby
<br />appointed
<br />ACTING CITY MANAGER EMERITUS
<br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a plaque be struck and
<br />suitably engraved witnessing this commendation and appoint-
<br />ment; and,
<br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that Harold C. Greene hold
<br />himself constantly prepared to accept responsibilities of
<br />this position as may be required from time to time by future
<br />City Councils of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas.
