L6L <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman McGee directing the <br />City Staff to prepare guide lines for cost reduction program and present it at <br />the August meeting. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Kohls made a motion that the City Staff prepare a list of cost of <br />Capital Outlay items on a monthly basis, as well as Expenditures items over <br />$500.00. The motion carried 5 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman McGee voting nay. <br />Fireman Ronnie Grooms, Bobby Guilliams, and Terry Oliver appeared before the i. <br />Council to discuss the difference in pay between the Firemen and Policeman, that <br />being $50.00 per man as adopted in the 1981 -82 Budget. The Firemen felt that <br />the Fire Department should be on a parity with the Police Department. No action <br />was taken on the matter. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the Council would go into executive session to <br />discuss claims with the City Attorney, and the regular session was declared <br />closed, and the executive session open. <br />City Attorney Haynes discussed claims with the Council. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the executive session closed, and the regular session <br />open. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ATTEST: <br />H.
