263 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />July 13, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday <br />July 13, 1981, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the <br />following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis Wortham, <br />Joe Graham, Larry McGee, and Ken Kohls. Also present were City Manager, R. W. <br />Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Rev. Felex Keys. <br />Mayor Burnett ask if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meeting furnished to the Council members. There being no corrections, the <br />minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Clabon and <br />Helen Steward changing from a One Family Dwelling District #3 to a One Family <br />Dwelling District #3 and Specific Use Permit, Day Care on Lot 17, Block Q, East <br />Park Addition, located at 1420 Fitzhugh Avenue. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Clabon Steward appeared <br />affirming the use as presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2581 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; <br />ESTABLISHING A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3) AND A SPECIFIC USE <br />PERMIT, DAY NURSERY (25) ON LOT 17, BLOCK Q, EAST PARK ADDITION, ON PROPERTY <br />BELONGING TO CLABON STEWARD AND HELEN STEWARD, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3); <br />AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3(SF -3) <br />AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, DAY NURSERY (25), SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman <br />Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Randy Jordan <br />for a change in zoning from a Neighborhood Service District to a Commercial <br />District on Lots 9 and 9A, City Block 266, located on the north side of FM195 <br />between Ballard Drive and Hickory Street. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Randy Jordan appeared in <br />his behalf re- affirming his statement made to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />
