281 Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for Phase II of 17th S. E. Drainage Project and the following bids were presented: David Buster Construction Company $82,623.40 Wise Sullivan Construction Company $86,123.30 Hilliard & Son Contractors Inc. 103,305.87 A Resolution was presented excepting David Buster's bid of $82,623.40. A motion was made by Councilman Francis for adoption of the Resolution as presented. There was no second and the motion failed. Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for an automobile for the Administra- tion Department and the following bids were presented. Glass Motor, 1982 Buick $8,654.74 Bill Booth Motors, 1981 Chrysler LeBaron Special $8,025.00 (Not Available) 1981 Chrysler LeBaron Salon $8,558.80 1981 Chrysler LeBaron Medallion $8,971.40 City Manager Sokoll recommended that all bids be rejected. A motion was made by COUrIC11man Williams, seconded by Councilman McGee approving the recommendation -- of the City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Discussion was had on the Phase II 17th Street S. E. Project bid, and a motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to reconsider the bid for the project. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Graham voting nay. Resolution No. 2118 authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with David Buster DBA David Buster Construction Company for drainage work on 17th Street S. E. in the amount of $82,623.40 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the.Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Graham voting nay.
