I <br />Mr. Tom Hensel representing McClanahan & Holmes CPA Firm, appeared before the <br />Council to answer any question concerning the 1980 -81 Audit recently completed <br />by his firm and which had been previously furnished the Council. A motion was <br />made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Francis to accept the Audit. The <br />motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays, Councilman Wortham not voting. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Council that Mr. James Deatherage, representing <br />the Paris -Lamar County Health Unit Advisory Board had given him the following <br />recommendations from the Board: "Dr. Joe Hillhouse is to be paid $115.00 per day <br />for 220 days per year which would be $25,300.00 total, with no sick leave or <br />vacation. County Commissioners, Childers and Wheeler was in the audience and <br />participated in the discussion. After discussion by the Council and the County <br />Commissioners, and Dr. Hillhouse, a motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded <br />by Councilman Wortham to refer the matter to the City Staff, and the County <br />Commissioners Court and Dr. Hillhouse to work the matter out. The motion carried <br />4 ayes, 0 nays, Councilman Williams not voting. <br />Mr. Bernie Norwood appeared before the Council to discuss outside the City sewer <br />charges. Mr. Norwood stated that he lives in a mobile home between the City of <br />Paris and the City of Toco. Mayor Burnett referred the matter to the Water and <br />Sewer Committee. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulations of bids for Light Poles and Fixtures at <br />Wise Field and the following bids were presented: <br />Biardsong Products, Arlington, Texas $13,764.00 <br />Lighting Concepts & Equipment Co., Houston, Tx. $15,842.00 <br />Musco Sports Lighting, Inc., Muscatine, Iowa $14,514.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Wortham to award <br />the bid to the Birdsong Products Company. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2124 nominating for membership for the Board of Directors of <br />the Lamar County Appraisal District W. T. (Bill) Murphy was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of <br />the Resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
