BURNETT, MAYOR <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />November 11, 1981 <br />The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Wednesday, <br />November 11, 1981 at 4:30 P. M. Mayor Burnett call the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis <br />Wortham, Joe Graham, and Larry McGee. Also present were City Manager, R. W. <br />Sokoll, and Acting City Clerk, Joe N. McCollum. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the special meeting was called for the purpose <br />of hearing a report on the Water and Sewer Rate Committee and to consider <br />authorization for advertisement for bids for filter media, support media and <br />new filter bottoms for the Water Treatment Plant. <br />Councilman Francis stated the Committee had made a trip to the Treatment <br />Plant to inspect the filter system and concurred with the City Staff that <br />replacement was necessary. He said the Committee recommended advertising <br />for bids. <br />Following discussion, Councilman Francis made a motion to authorize advertise- <br />ment for bids on filter media, support media and filter bottoms for the Water <br />Treatment Plant. Councilman McGee seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays, Councilman Kohls being absent. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjounred. <br />BILLY J.
