186 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />March 2, 1981 <br />The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, <br />March 2, 1981, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with the <br />following Councilmen present: Travis Wortham, Billy J. Burnett, Kenneth E. <br />Kohls, W. C. Francis, Ronald Kyle and Walter F. Williams. Also present were <br />City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. <br />Greene. Also present were members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the special meeting was called for the purpose <br />of having a public hearing in a joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to review recommendations concerning Ordinances regulating <br />manufactured housing within the City of Paris. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open. <br />City Attorney Haynes reviewed recommendations made by the City Staff concerning <br />zoning, sub - divisions, and general ordinances of the City of Paris for treatment <br />of manufactured housing. <br />Mayor Malone declared the public hearing closed. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman <br />Kyle authorizing preparation of an Ordinance or Ordinances to present to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendation to the City <br />Council. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Discussion was had on the need to regulate location of fences on private property. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Services, appeared before the Council during <br />the discussion and showed pictures of various fences within the City. The staff <br />was instructed to further study the situation and made recommendations for <br />consideration of the Commission and the Council. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />MICHAEL E.
