Resolution No. 2097 authorizing and directing the City Manager to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Paris a lease agreement with the U.S. Government was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION N0, 2097 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is <br />desirous of cooperating with the United States Government <br />in providing additional services to the flying public and <br />users of its municipal airport, Cox Field; and, <br />WHEREAS, the U. S. Government is desirous of leasing <br />ground space for the purpose of erecting a Very High <br />Frequency Direction Finder for a term beginning June 1, 1981 <br />with provisions for renewal through September 30, 2001 with <br />an option for an additional twenty (20) year period, upon <br />the terms and conditions and for the area therein described <br />on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the City Manager of the City of Paris, Robert W. <br />Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to exe- <br />cute on behalf of the City of Paris the lease agreement with <br />the U. S.
