9 <br />Resolution No. 2034 re- appointing A. M. Akin, Jr. and appointing Marilyn <br />Thornburrow and Richard Giles to the Library Board was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Kyle for adoption of <br />the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2034 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1820 establish the Library Advisory Board, to con- <br />sist of seven (7) resident citizens of the City of Paris, and did <br />thereafter in Resolution No. 1978 expand such Board to nine (9) <br />members, with one of the expansion members being appointed for <br />one year and one of the expansion members being appointed for <br />two years, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year <br />terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of Pat Bassono, David Denney <br />and A. M. Aikin, Jr, will expire on June 30, 1980, and the Mayor <br />of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone having re- appointed <br />A. M. Aikin, Jr. and having appointed Marilyn Thornburrow and <br />Richard Giles, to serve on the Library Advisory Board for a term <br />of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, <br />1983, and has submitted the names of such persons to the City <br />Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the re- appointment of A. M. Aikin, Jr. and the <br />appointment of Marilyn Thornburrow and Richard Giles, as mem- <br />bers of the Library Advisory Board for a term of three (3) years, <br />beginning July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, 1983, are by the <br />City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of June, 1980. <br />Michael Malone, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />H.
