Resolution No. 2035 appointing John T. Biard, Vivian Green and Ralph Crews to the Parks & Recreation Board was presented. The motion was made by Council- man Wortham, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. RESOLUTION NO. 2035 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did in Resolution No. 1876 establish the Parks and Recreation Board to consist of nine (9) members, with staggered initial appointments as follows: Three (3) members for one year terms, three (3) members for two year terms and three (3) members for three year terms, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year terms with partially completed terms being filled for the re- mainder of said terms; and, WHEREAS, Jim Steely has resigned as a member of the Parks and Recreation Board, and the terms of office of David Don Guest, Ozie Battle and Herschel Biglow, as members of said Board, will expire on June 30, 1980, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, having appointed John T. Biard to serve the unexpired term of Jim Steely, which ends June 30, 1982, and having appointed Vivian Green and Ralph Crews and re- appointed Ozie Battle for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, 1983, and has submitted the names of such persons to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THERE- FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the appointment of John T. Biard, to serve the unex- pired term of Jim Steely, which ends June 30, 1982, and the ap- pointments of Vivian Green and Ralph Crews and the re- appointment of Ozie Battle for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1980 and ending June 30, 1983, as members of the Parks and Recreation Board, are by the City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed.
