City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a radar unit for the police department, 12,500 linear feet of 6" plastice water pipe, and the hard surface courts at Johnson and Record Parks. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Burnett approving the request. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Malone called for the tabulation of bids for a vehicle for the Emergency Medical Service and the following bids were received: Lowry Chevrolet $5,663.00 Bill Booth Motors $6,165.57 Kosterman Motor Co. $5,990.00 A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham approving the bid of Kosterman Motor Company as the lowest and best bid meeting specifications. The motion carried 5 ayes, 1 nay Councilman Kyle voting nay, Councilman Kohls abstaining. Mayor Malone called for the tabulation of bids for a Chlorinator for the Maxey Water Treatment Plant. City Manager Sokoll announced that only one bid had been received, and that from the Wallace & Tiernan in the amount of $2,045.00, and recommended its approval. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the recommendation of the City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Malone called for the reading of several Ordinances previously authorized and the following Ordinances were presented. ORDINANCE NO. 2521 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2491 CORRECTING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS CONTAINED THEREIN AND PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVID- ING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OF PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1980 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
