4 .J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2048 <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 873, passed by the City Council <br />Of the City of Paris, on October 29, 1929, provided for the ap- <br />pointment of a Band Commission by the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, to be confirmed by the City Council of the City of Paris; <br />said Band Commission to be ccmposed of three (3) members; and, <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of <br />said Band Commission due to the death of Mrs. Herbert Turner; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. <br />Malone has appointed Cecil Mackin, as a member of said <br />Band Commission, to serve the unexpired term of Mrs. Herbert <br />Turner, which ends June 30, 1981, and has submitted the name <br />of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, That the appointment of Cecil Mackin, as a member <br />of the Band Commission, to serve the unexpired term of <br />Mrs. Herbert Turner, which ends June 30, 1981, is by the <br />City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and con- <br />firmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of August, 1980. <br />Michael E.
